FBI at Pattaya resort

PATTAYA: -- The Dusit Thani Hotel and conference centre on Pattaya’s seafront hosted a 7 day training course for police officers.

The experienced officers were selected based on their involvment with serious crimes such as computer fraud and money laundering and included a review of the latest forensic techniques used in the USA.

Having completed a similar ,7 day, presentation in Bangkok, the senior staff from America’s Federal bureau of Investigation headed to Pattaya to share their experiences with 50 senior Police staff, as the continued relationship between both countries has seen the recent thwarting of several illegal operations which affected both the US and Thailand.

Computer crime is the fastest growing type of criminal activity worldwide and, unlike most crimes, can remain almost invisible as the perpetrators are instantly mobile and anonymous.
