BANGKOK: -- Following the recent opening of the first Rolls-Royce Motor Cars showroom on Rama 3 in Bangkok earlier this year, the company has announced plans to open a unique new boutique in Central Bangkok, the first of its kind in Asia.

This exclusive facility will be situated at Siam Paragon, an upmarket luxury shopping mall. The boutique will provide easy access to Rolls-Royce products for customers and will complement the two-storey Rolls-Royce showroom, which is already one of Asia's largest. It is expected to be operational in the fourth quarter of the year.

"The location and concept allows us to reach a broader audience, who will be able to view first-hand why the elegance, quality and craftsmanship of our cars earns them the title of the 'best cars in the world'," Torsten Müller-Ötvös, CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said.

Asia-Pacific regional director Paul Harris added: "We are seeing significant interest in our brand in Thailand, and I thank Millionaire Auto for its commitment to investing in yet another brand touchpoint for potential Rolls-Royce customers. We hope that by bringing the marque to Central Bangkok it will impassion a Thai audience which already has great appreciation of craftsmanship in its own culture. With virtually unlimited bespoke variations, customers can commission their cars in as much meticulous attention to detail as the way they are built."

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Bangkok is owned by Millionaire Auto (Thailand), a subsidiary of Master Group Corporation (Asia). Like the showroom on Rama 3, the planned facility in Siam Paragon will break new ground for the marque, being the first in Asia to be located in a luxury retail hub.

Rolls-Royce Bangkok's seven-car showroom was the first in the Asia-Pacific region to have two storeys and secure underground parking for customers. It also incorporates a special delivery room for customers.

"We again demonstrate our commitment to the Rolls-Royce brand in Thailand by ensuring customers have accessibility, choice and the latest product offerings," commented Chatvithai Tantraporn, general manager for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Bangkok.

The number of Rolls-Royce showrooms in the Asia-Pacific region (including China) is currently 27.

It may be a great ego trip for the rich Thais to own a Roller but is there any mechanic in the country capable of servicing such a car ? Definitely not in my village !! Oh wait !! a couple of drunks have said they can work on any car ever built. Problem solved.

I somehow doubt there are many Thai roller owners that live in upcountry villages. I also have no doubt that RR will have their own trained mechanics here to do any work. If one were to break down, I don't think paying to have the car taken to the service centre, and then delivered back, would be much of a financial burden on those that can afford such luxury machines.

actually there are several skiiled mechanics all over Bangkok, Chiangmai and even in Rayong for these type of cars and any other classic European car too. Either they are foreigner and retired here but still do some work or they are Thais that have worked with Porsche Mercedes, Jaguar or BMW garages in the past either in the US or in Europe. You will be amazed..!

cheaper to buy one abroad, strip it down into bits, ship them over as parts in a few containers, and hope you remember where the parts go back together.

Do that a few times and you will have 100 million baht in no time.

Hoping that won't crush my golf bag though. rolleyes.gif

I think you should make different provisions for this. Purchase the phantom walking stilts for your caddy they will offer in the new boutique. Your oarsmen will thank you for this. wai.gif
