PATTAYA:--On Saturday afternoon at 5pm officers from the Police Region 2 Anti-Human Trafficking Division arrested a 19 year old woman outside of Big C Extra in Central Pattaya, accused of selling her 15 year old cousin to a foreigner for sex.

On this occasion the foreigner was an operative for the Police Unit and began by speaking with Khun Siriporn aged 19 on Pattaya Beach in front of Central Festival Pattaya Beach where a fee of 4,500 Baht was agreed in exchange for sexual services with the 15 year old girl. The operative was told to meet Khun Siriporn in front of Big C Extra on the Central Pattaya Road where the marked bank notes were handed over.

As soon as the transaction was completed officers moved in and arrested the woman and detained the girl. Both were taken to a holding area in North Pattaya where further checks were made on Khun Siriporn who had previously been arrested on similar offences. She revealed how the pair would travel to Pattaya most weekends for the purpose of seeking out foreigners who would pay money in exchange for sexual services provided by the girl for an agreed fee.

I'm not quite getting this article. Was this a sting operation where the police used a foreigner to set this terrible woman up? It says the marked bills were handed over. Maybe the news writer could be a little more..................better at his/her job?

In my opinion the 19 yr old is worse than the American who was caught in a toilet cubical with a 13 yr old boy the female that is being pimped out at 15 is only 2 years older than the boy..

But it seems because it is two females involved you don't get all the hype or interest?

It has to be a good thing they know about this woman and her actions in case at any future time she tries to blackmail some foreigner, a scenario I could see happening.

Selling your 15 year old cousin is a disgusting thing to be doing.

It sure is but seems they were both in it for the money. I don't read that the cousin is being forced. Still repulsive of course, but no force was used.

Very true regards not being forced.

It was reported this 19 year old has been arrested before on similar pimping charges of minor children. A look at her photo indicates she made a good income for a long time and could afford to eat regularly.whistling.gif

I wish it was a rare occurance.

In Khon Kaen some years ago a woman offered her daughter to me for 3,000 baht stating that the girl was a 14 year old virgin. I refused and to avoid any comeback said that I was returning to my hotel where my wife was waiting for me. I've received many unsavoury offers in LOS but this is easily the worst. I prefer to steer well clear of BiB and decided that reporting the matter could end up with me ending in the smelly stuff. Who would the police believe? Me or two Thai females?

Is it a common problem for many TV members to have an understanding of what a "CHILD" is. Do they know why children should have the full protection of law, as well as being protected by ALL responsible adults, starting with their parents. Are many adults on this site incapable of grasping this ?
