TSD Thailand Chess Championship 2006

Win the tournament and be the qualified chess players in TSD Chess Camp Program. Win awards and prizes 400,000 baht in total.

General Information

1. Open Tournament

Tournament Date: 4, 5, 11, 12 and 13 February 2006

Venue: Stock Exchange of Thailand

Rounds: 9 rounds, 1.30 hour each + 30 sec., Swiss System

Participants: 120 players

Awards & Prizes: 270,000 baht in total, 19 prizes (Grand Prize – 100,000 baht)

2. Age Group and Lady Tournament

Tournament Date: 18, 19, 25 and 26 March 2006

Venue: Stock Exchange of Thailand

Rounds: 7 rounds, 1.30 hour each + 30 sec., Swiss System

Participants: 120 players, Under 18, Under 16, Under 14, Under 12 and Under 10 years old.

Awards & Prizes: 89,000 baht in total, 18 prizes (Grand Prize – 10,000 baht)

Bit late notice dude, I think I may have been up for it as well. :o

Sory for late notice due to late artwork. Actually there still are 10+ seats available. The number of applicants are only 100+. I believe TSD will extend the date. It's worth checking by phone. The tel. number is above.

Whats the deal there, do I need a certain visa to play or something or proof of residence? I know with cash prizes like this special rules apply right?
