30th Chiang Mai Flower Festival

The northern province of Chiang Mai is cooperating with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in organizing the 30th Chiang Mai Flower Festival. Here, you can see many varieties of beautiful flower in full bloom. The event will be held between February 3rd and 5th.

Chiang Mai is one of the best provinces in Thailand for planting flowers due to its ideal geographical altitude and humidity. And from His Majesty the King’s royal initiation, villagers have been urged to grow flowers and fruits instead of opium.

Again, Chiang Mai and the TAT will hold the Chiang Mai Flower Festival annually from February 3rd and 5th. In this event, you can see many varieties of flowers being decorated on parade vehicles. You can also see the International Miss Flower Contest as well as the Flower and Garden Decoration Competition. Concerts will be arranged while OTOP goods will also be displayed and sold here.

And during the blossom period, Chiang Mai will decorate the whole province with many pretty and aromatic flowers. This tradition has been carried out for years, with a blend of technological assistance.

So as a reminder, the 30th Chiang Mai Flower Festival will be held during February 3rd to 5th. And for more information, please call the TAT’s northern regional office in the 1st district at 0-5324-8604 or 0-5324-8607. You can also log on to the TAT’s website at www.tat.or.th, or simply call our hotline at 1672.

Chiang Mai Flower Festival. Here, you can see in full bloom the International Miss Flower Contest

Ok so I cut it a bit, but while the flower displays are interesting, the flowers walking about can be with certainty a bit more interesting. :o

But now that I'm married I say I like the parade. :D
