Thaksin's Hong Kong Visit Not Linked To Thai Cabinet Reshuffle: Noppadon

Doesn't get the "elite ruled" worst paper of Thailand tired about their non stories? Today a story that a visit is not linked to local politics. Tomorrow a story that after a earthquake in Timbuktu no Thais were hurt and the day after a story that a speech from Obama had nothing to do with Nasa's request of using an air base.

If only the Nation was so on it when it came down to the murder of civilians by the Abhisit regime or all the people locked up under article 112 the Nation could be taken a tiny bit seriously. although any newsletter is more newsworthy.

When is this man going away, for good?

He is a hugely divisive character who is used by sides to mobilise extremists. Don't forget that a central plank of Abhisit's election campaign last year was built around getting people to vote against Thaksin not to mention the upcoming censure debate which, according to reports, will also question his control over the government. Though he is no doubt an expert self publicitist I can't help but feel that the media, particularly the english language press, play a huge part in his prominence same as can be seen here on TV where any excuse possible is used to inject Thaksin's name into a thread.

Bottom line is he is not going to go away until people stop giving him so much attention.

Since most of the western media is control in some way by corporate giants, It seems that Thaskin might possibly have a role to play when Asia heads towards an Asian union. Thaskin is snubbing his nose to all Thai laws concerning his on going involvement and meddling in Thai politics. He has no shame really. Extremely wealthy people seldom do. The disconnect of reality that is part of being extremely wealthy is par for the course. Buffet and Gates stuck their vast fortune in a trust so that in truth they have managed to save their wealth. Is it no surprise that they both made that move prior to the bubble bursting? Thaskin is no different really. He is 20 steps ahead of everyone when it comes to maintaing is power and wealth.

He is running the country. How can the media not give that person, whomever they are, a lot of inch space and a lot of TV time? To not do so would be to not report the news. To not do so would be to play along with this ridiculous transparent façade that it is Yingluck who is making the decisions.

never

I am aware that the Thai nation derived from china, Today they have their own language, own identity and own King. The sad thing is that some chinese elements prove what they have always done...take domain and control and claim it was theirs in the first place. Chinese are messing this place up and the Thais havent a clue... blinded by false hopes and sugar talk. Yes, why dont this Mr. T simply go away... one who majored in Criminology, non manners and arrogant...... should simply learn what it means to be a man and face up to his wrong doings.....I know that will never happen.... he would be the down fall of a great nation should he be allowed to fiddle around again with the books.

Just ignore it and it will go away? Not a good policy to ignore malignancy when it comes to your body, or to the nation.

Unfortunately those steps have been largely that of him tripping over his own shoelaces. As a power play he has not been successful at all. Engineered his own downfall and dragging Thailand through the mud for his own benefit.

What's criminal is that the country's top politician has been vilified by a bunch of self-serving fascists, to the point where he has to run the country without being here.

What he should do is come back and try and run the country from jail where he should be.

What, you mean for that trumped up charge for which he wasn't guilty?

Which charge are you refering to? Thaksin has got that many charges and pending Jail sentences against him it's difficult to keep track?

"Noppadon insists former PM will not influence choice of party leader"

Does anyone actually believe what Noppadon is saying? Take out choice of party leader & the remainder of the words will have been spoken so many times in the past.

Most redshirts apparently do. But it seems everytime this person opens his mouth there is nothing but lies coming out.

Hmmmm in the U.S. I think the person who was visiting with Thaksin would be jailed somehow for aiding and abetting a known criminal. Some crazy laws they have there in LOS.

Kind of like saying the crucifixion of Christ has nothing to do with religion.
