Storms strike Pattaya and surrounding areas

PATTAYA:--The weather front predicted for the whole region has hit the city and surrounding areas hard over the weekend. In many cases causing severe flooding

Torrential rains left much of the city’s streets underwater and spilled into homes and businesses around the region. The storms are expected to continue into the first part of the week, leaving residents and business owners working to clean up and put up sand bags where ever possible.

Main roads leading into the city were also flooded as the drains struggled to deal with the volume of water. Reports of several metre deep floods have reached our newsroom as cars and motor bikes were, in some cases, completely submerged, leaving owners without transport but also leaving the vehicles useless until repaired
