Pattaya Islands evacuated as Marine Department “Red Flags” Boats due to bad weather

PATTAYA:--A Red Flag has been raised over the Pattaya Marine Rescue Centre close to the Bali Hai Port in South Pattaya, indicating all boats are now not permitted to set sail until the flag is lowered.

Due to poor weather conditions, the decision was made on Monday to raise the red flag and now the only boats which are permitted to sail are rescue vessels which are evacuating tourists stranded on Islands off the coast of Pattaya.

All day on Monday and throughout Tuesday Tourists were brought back to Pattaya. As long as the red flag remains, all pleasure boats and private vessels are not permitted to sail, and any that defy the temporary ban will be prosecuted by the Marine Department
