Crazed man attempts to cut-off his own penis at Jomtien apartment

PATTAYA:--A 29 year old Thai man attempted to cut off his own penis and earlier cut off his index finger and thumb while his Girlfriend was out working.

She had returned to their rented apartment at the Porntip Apartments on the Thepprasit Road in Jomtien, early on Wednesday Morning but could not enter her apartment so took a spare key from the owner of the building. She gained access and saw her 29 year old boyfriend, Khun Anucha, lying on the floor, covered in blood. The thumb and index finger were recovered and packed in ice and his partially severed penis was bandaged up by rescue workers who soon arrived.

It was known that the victim used to work in Korea where he was given a 2 year contract by a Tech Company. He returned to Thailand before the end of his contract and soon showed signs of a mental illness.

Mad Buriram Man Mutilates Himself With Knife

PATTAYA:--An apparently mentally-ill Buriram man cut up his body and penis while alone in a rented room. His girlfriend said the man had developed a mysterious neurosis during a 2-year work contract in Korea. He was sent back home to Thailand, and has acted strangely ever since.

PATTAYA – October 10, 2012 [PDN]: at 2 a.m., a report of a man cutting himself with a knife was received by the rescue radio center of Sawangboribul Pattaya foundation, Chonburi province.

The incident occurred in a rented room at Baan Pornthip, address 229/28 Soi Thepprasit 13 Moo 12 Tambon Nong Preu, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province.

At the scene, rescuers found the injured Thai man with knife wounds all over his body. The most serious wounds were to his right thumb and forefinger and his sexual organ. Rescue officers performed first aid before sending the man to Banglamung hospital, where he was accompanied by his girlfriend who watched over him closely.

The man was identified as Mr. Anucha Somkanae, age 29, from Buriram province. Police inspected the room and found many pools of blood. They also found the knife, and a blood-stained chopping block placed in the middle of the room.

Police questioned the owner of the rental room, Mrs. Phan Kaebaanphraew. She said that prior to the incident, Mr. Anucha’s girlfriend had come back from work, and called out for her boyfriend to open the door. But he didn’t respond, so she asked Mrs. Phan for the spare key to open the room.

I was starting to wonder if there were any people posting, that used any compassion or common sense, all this sick joking is ever so immature, if half of these posters would get off the porch and start doing a tad Tam Boon, like making areas safer for the voiceless, children, wildlife, all waterways and soil, getting some mental and physical exercise at the same time, they might also start using both sides of their brain.

Don't get me wrong, I know that there are a few sensible, sober, expats out there, I now and again see a few, I'm not raggin on you gentlemen, just the goofballs that only think of me, me, me, forgetting there is we, we, we and for every bad, sad thing that is reported, think it's smart to assume ass u me, knowing absolutely nothing about the case, always verbally bitch slapping the police.

Thismaybe is a sad case of mental illness which has gone unchecked. I have seen the same problem in Australia and the Uk when I used to work in the health sector in those countries. It can be associated with paranoid delusions that someone is going do the same to the person. They build up so much anguish about the pending 'threat' that the strategy is to do it to yourself so at least you know someone else cannot do it to you. Mental health is not particularly well recognized or managed in S.E. Asian countries. I hope he gets the care he needs.

A very very small percentage of Thai women are the type of "working girl" that you imply she is.

You could benefit from meeting some Thais outside tourist areas.

I feel sorry for this poor man and hope that there will be a cure for his illness. I am afraid that isn't the case for many 'jokers' on this forum. Their comments on this sad story confirm that 80+ percent of the farang in this country mentally never left the Neanderthaler-era.

Firstly, he worked in Korea, that explains the mental illness part. Secondly, this is being reported in the media..another sign of mental illness.

Must be something he ate in Korea to trigger his mental condition .

I hope they stitch the appendages back in the right places.

Does he need help, sure? Do I feel pity for him sure? Do I find the situation funny, sure? A hell of a lot of humor is based on the sufferings and pratfalls of others. So to those on their soap boxes, I would suggest you lighten up. I must add though that some of the pun I have seen are bloody awful.
