Looking To Hire Thai Driver For 16 Day Charity Project In Nov

Hi all,

I am the co-founder of Freedom to Walk. In November, we are convening volunteers from around the world in Bangkok to walk for 15 days from central Bangkok to Three Pagodas Pass along the Thai-Burmese border, to benefit and raise awareness about global efforts to combat human trafficking.

We are looking for a driver for our emergency vehicle (a pick-up truck). We're seeking a Thai national or fluent Thai speaker who has a driver's license, to start at 6am on Saturday November 3, and be with us through 8pm on Sunday, November 18.

Compensation:

• We can pay THB 500 per day.
  
• We will pay for gas.
  
• We will pay for his accommodations -- a shared room with our male guide in hotels along the route.
  
• He will cover his own food
  

More information:

During the Walk, we will wake up, eat breakfast, and start walking. Our luggage will be in a different support vehicle. The truck, with the driver that I am seeking, would be the more "mobile" car -- the one to be used in case of emergency that would take people to local hospitals or back to Bangkok. When we arrive at our lodgings for the night, we may need him to do things like drive the group into town (in Kanchanburi) or drive people to 7-11 to pick up groceries. In the afternoons he would need to be a little bit flexible, but if we don't need to do something, he'll be free to do whatever he wants.

While walking, we'll walk for about 5km, then break for snacks and water. The driver's job would be to drive once or twice the length of the route that people are walking, pick up those who can't walk anymore, and drive them to the next rest stop. He won't need to drive constantly, just a few loops during each section to make sure everyone is OK.
