Really! When did that change? Not often I do it and not done it since I guess May this year. I did transfer UK to Thai in the week and it cost nothing but that is obviously not the same.

When? Right around the time that HSBC Thailand closed in June this year! Actually a shell of HSBC remains but there is no retail division hence global view and retail transfers are not possible.

If its for family members in the UK just give them your ATM card and make withdrawal in any ATM in UK
