Can anyone recommend a good lawyer in Chiang Mai to handle immigration / work permit matters? They would need to be both competent and possibly connected.

I've had an annual media visa and associated work permit for more than 20 years uninterrupted stay - usually renewed every November with letters from the Ministry of Information in Bangkok - but right now I am out of the country in the UK looking after my sick mother and it's doubtful I can get back in time for the annual renewal.

I'd hate to mess up my tax, visa and work permit record.... Any suggestions, please?

I find Lighthouse good: just Google Lighthouse Chiang Mai. No guarantees, of course, but I found them very competent in the past.

Can you not go to the Thai Embassy in the UK and do it there?

I had a good attorney from ICO for RE, but they also do a lot of immigration work.
