I usually buy a monthly roaming card ("CyberPoint) to access the wifi in my building but I'm constantly having problems connecting to the net. When I trouble shoot, the most common problem is with the "default gateway" and the second most common problem is with the IP.

What can I do to improve this/avoid these problems?

Sometimes I'll be connected for a few hours - no problems, and then I just loose the connection for no apparent reason.

What's going on?

If your losing your IP and gateway the problem is likely with the networks dhcp server. Or another device on your own network with dhcp enabled?
