[Myanmar] Us Military Delegation Arrives In Burma

Twenty-two senior US military officials and their support staff arrived in Burma over the weekend, according to a report by the Financial Times. The delegation includes Lt-Gen Francis Wiercinski, head of the US Army’s Pacific command. Meanwhile, Deputy Secretary of State William Burns is also expected to arrive in Burma this week for high-level talks. Vikram Singh, the deputy assistant secretary of defense for East Asia, and other senior officials from the state department, National Security Council, homeland security department and USAid will also be in the country, the report said.
