Waterloo
Hi Just wanted to share a little peice of advice & acept my apology if this advice is already on here. Currently my Mother in Law is staying with us in the UK for a few months to help out with child care due to the recent birth of our second child. We obtained the correct visa for her & arranged a return ticket, but she still got held at border control in a side room for over an hour. With hindsight she speaks no english & border control in these circumstances rely on fellow passengers to translate, things get lost in translation. In future when she visits we will give her a letter of introduction & our mobile phone numbers for border control to contact us on arrival.
