i have the seeds for wheat graa juice but have never planted it before,so if someone has can they point me in the right direction please.

Wanting to grow for the juice ,also as a green manure and covering of weeds,compost.

Can you get flour from the same plant as i,m dying on chappatti haha

Yes, you can make flour. Just let the plants mature & they will form seeds.

Now is a good time to plant,

Sow them on the surface & keep them quite damp until the green shoots are about an inch tall.

Then water more sparingly, harvest in 4 to 5 months.

Harvest when the seed head bends over & is yellow.

Choose the best heads & keep the seeds for replanting.

Keep them in a cool dark dry place. in an old drinking water bottle works good.

for wheat grass sow them very close together, almost touching.

For wheat seeds sow them about 6 inches apart.

To make flour, put them in a blender with spice grinder attachment.

Put it thru a sieve & re grind the stuff that doesnt go thru.

Thanks for the wheat grass juice when do you harvest for the juice.Do they grow ok on a sandy soil thank you

I have no idea about the sandy soil, but if its got nutrients in it, I cant see a problem.

My wife cuts it when it reaches about 10cm tall.

I dont drink the stuff myself, tastes like shit.

hahah agree tastes like shit but supposedly one of the best things on the planet to take for health

.so i want to take it now over a long period of time to see what the benefits if any are
