cheap and nasty WIFI for home less than 20 meters..recommendations? Just have GPRS but only one or two pads at any one time?

I don't have one but a mifi connects up to five devices - just plug your sim card in it. This is a mobile wifi device with a power plug for home use - you can use it anywhere at higher speeds away from home also. Most shops like dtac, AIS etc have them. Use it in place of an aircard - it is an aircard with wifi router built in.

Neither of your pads can do it? Get a cheap smartphone (p.ex. samsung wave should do it 'out of the box'), and (or) a app, that is doing the thing!
