I need to go to Phuket tomorrow (sunday) from Pattaya. (The direct bus service runs on monday.) So I have to go via bangkok.

Do I need to go to Mohchit or Ekkamai from Pattaya to get a 1st class vip bus to Phuket?

Also is there a low budget hotel available near Mohchit or Ekkamai where I can rest and shower for a couple hours?

good news for you-since at least 5 yrs now there are DIRECT PTY- Sai Thai buses from Pattaya-the well known busstation on north rd. THERE are-why even ask- the best and most ample direct buses to Phuket. The PTY buses run about ev 2 hrs and circle BKK via the fairly new (high span bridge) southern ringway.

Wonder again how long it generally takes for people to discover old news.

This company has only one bus everyday at 6pm and I've enquired and its full right now.

Where do I catch a bus in Pattaya to South Bus Station in Bangkok? Is the north bus station pattaya the same as the one where we get rongruan buses to mohchit?
