A friend of my girlfriend has asked about getting a visa for Spain or France.

I know absolutely nothing about Visas for Spain so has anybody got any helpful suggestions ?

Apparently she wants to go on Holiday there for 3 weeks. Spain is her preferance with France the second option. She does not have a 'proper' job but grows and sells fruit and vegetables in a Market in Udon Thani and makes a reasonable living. She has done some travelling around South East Asia but fancies the mediteranian and Spain after seeing a programme on television about it.

She has a small house, farm and two children so is always going to return.

She needs to obtain a Schengen visa from either the Spanish or French embassy; whichever country she intends to visit; or, if both then the one she will visit first.

Schengen visas for tourists are usually valid for 90 days and will allow her to enter all the Schengen states if she wishes.
