I'd appreciate some help please guys, i'll use bullet points for ease of reading:

- My "work" phone was recently replaced by a BB 9320.

- The old SIM card & numbers were transferred into the new phone.

- BB was then given to me...

To cut a long story short i'm struggling to use it, not least because my fingers & eyesight* are a bit like an Elephant trying to pick up a pea! I'm therefore resigned to the fact that i'll only use it as a phone & will use a PC (c/w man-sized keyboard & screen) for anything else.

My questions are:

a) How do you delete old text messages or calls history on the BB without accidentally ringing the numbers?

B ) How can I access the numbers on my SIM in order to replace the details that were 'chopped off' during the move? I've tried rigging it up to a PC but cannot see anything resembling "contacts".

I've read the manual, tried BB website & cannot find the answers.

Any help here would be appreciated:)

If you highlight the application you require then press enter (centre button). Then press the Blackberry button, (left of centre button) you will get the menu which will give you the options for the selected application.

From the contacts application you can edit the contacts.

From the text messages application you can delete texts.

From the phone application you can delete call history.

If you were in Pattaya, we could meet over coffee and it would take all of 10 minutes to explain the virtues of the BB ! !

Also; with regards to your eye-sight; I suggest you do 2 things:

1. Take your phone to a BB shop and tell them to replace the keyboard with an exclusive English one (now you can easily read the letters/symbols

2. Change the Font-Size within the phone, which makes the texts etc. much larger (I can read without my glasses).

Once you get to know your BB, you will surely fall in love with it !

PS: If you're NOT in Pattaya, advertise for someone in your community to play "my role" - I'm sure someone will point you i the right direction.

Cheers & Enjoy your BB !

Thanks for the replies.

I have managed to delete all old texts & phonecalls but had to do so individually as there doesn't seem to be a "clear all" option.

I like the idea of a new keyboard as that will surely make life easier; I'll do that today:)

Re Keyboard; It looks like i'll have to order one. Does anyyone know where I can do so online & how much it's likely to cost?. The normal/dual language keyboards were priced at THB 250 in my local outlets but the price they quoted for an English one <which they would have to order>was "about THB 700" which I suspect inc a skin tax:)

They're probably correct in that they'd have to order one for you. Why would they ordinarily stock a keyboard which didn't have the Thai alphabet on it? Hong Kong sellers on Ebay are asking about 350 to 400bt.

Update:I laminated a copy of a 'normal' BB keyboard & will refer to it until I either master the device or go to Bkk where I can have mine replaced over the counter.

Thanks all:)
