It was never about compensating people, it was a cheap publicity move which was flawed because once you start paying some people money you have to pay everyone or face the jealousy backlash.

PTP is built on lies from Day One, starting with the shocking electoral claims that Yingluck & her oligarchical crime family are somehow representatives of the working class, and nosediving from there with every further shameless lie she has spouted. And like always happens when you lie to people constantly, they eventually get angry and come looking for you.

That said, I don't condone dangerous driving, its just that it shows the desperation and disenchantment of working class Thais when faced with the schemery and callousness displayed by this distant & uncaring corporate crime family.

Actually the OP doesn't say, just that "Pongpicharn said he tried to disrupt the prime minister's motorcade to bring to her attention the fact that he had not received compensation in relation to the 2010 red-shirt protests." It might very well be that his income had dropped significantly when during March - May 2010 normally already busy areas in Bangkok were completely blocked by the UDD led protests
