PATTAYA:--Two suspected bag snatchers aged 19 and 20 were arrested by Pattaya Police in the early hours of Sunday.

Police were made aware of the incident which occurred in Soi Chaypreuk off Jomtien Beach Road and resulted in the theft of a handbag belonging to Khun Piboon aged 32 who was travelling on her motorbike to her place of work, a Hotel also in the Jomtien area. The two suspects, came up beside the victim on their bike and the passenger lent over and snatched a handbag containing foreign currency worth around 1,000 Baht and some personal documents.

Thanks to the quick action of Police and Police Volunteers stationed nearby the offenders were spotted on the Sukhumvit Road in South Pattaya in front of Soi 54 and were subsequently arrested. At Pattaya Police Station it was determined that Khun Panudaert aged 19 and Khun Greungai aged 20 had just been released from a Young Offenders Institute where they became addicted to drugs.
