This is a potter wasp (looks like genus Rhynchium, but I am not sure).

They are absolutely harmless! A potter wasp can sting, but ONLY of you handle it roughly with bare hands (i.e., squeeze it...). A potter wasp will not attack you on its own accord, even if you disturb it when building its nest.

Thank you Chinnotes for your precice answer.

This potter wasp is really big so I'm glad to ear they are not agressive. However this nest is really near my entrance door so I need to move it.

do you think it would be possible to relocated?

Is that this wasp can help in the fight against pests such as flies, mosquitoes, hornets ..

Maybe the correct name is potter wasp, but I've alwyas known them as "mud daubers". They build their nest with mud. We get them all of the time and I tie a paint scraper to a broome handle and just scrap off the nest, never been stung. Had one flying around my computer monitor for months, finally found the nest on the back of a picture hanging in the room.
