Mitker
Deposed Thai prime minister Thaksin (...) to advise about official matters as well as family business(...) any difference for them?
Skywalker69
He's shot himself in the foot, again. It takes a certain type of idiot to confirm everything he has said in this article, he really is clueless and he has handed even more ammunition to his opponents. Good. Next time lets hope it´s in the head.
bridge2bridge
My God how big is this man's EGO. dam_n it, he is a fugitive, and he is giving advice on how to run the country. NO WONDER Thailand is going backwards.
Popular Post Halion
This man is a truly disgusting narcisstic philanderer as are most of his family and close associates who continue to rule based on incomprehensible bull s... rhetoric laid down in front of uneducated rural Thai's . The elite in this country have continualy enjoyed their huge wealth and status at the expense of the uneducated, ignorant and ill informed. It is no coincidence that both the English language and education system have been suppressed. It is easy to fool the blind .

saltandpepper
I think he's doing fine. It can't be easy running a country from abroad. Doing better than AV did. Yeah, he's doing fine! His wealth is growing by the day, sucking Thailand dry. Sure that AV can not compete....
virtualtraveller
Pity a serious magazine like Forbes asks such naive questions and allows him a monthpiece to spew such nonsense half-truths, without asking more probing questions on the real reason he lives in Exile.

asiawatcher
Nice slap in the face for his sister. And of course, an admission that he is well entrenched in politics despite his ongoing denial. Narcissistic ego manic comes to mind and he keeps opening his mouth to change feet.

Go and have a cup of tea man and read the rest As for the rest of you, I want you all to tune in your metaphoric internet forum ears and listen carefully for the usual Thaksin Red Adoration Mob (TRAM), listen....listen hard, what can you hear....the sound of .....tumbleweed! Phew! Thought it was just me, then again maybe they all go for happy hour at 4pm, I guess they will be back in a few hours.

edwinchester
Why do these articles keep saying he is in exile? He's a fugitive from justice and a sentence already handed down. I long for his appearance on "I almost got away with it".
jbrain
When she was 35 year old she became CEO of AIS, the biggest mobile phone operator in Thailand. At that time, we had 40 million subscribers Either he's talking <deleted> or she really screwed up and lost 20 million subscribers while she was CEO. http://investor.ais....ubscribers.aspx Why bother ( no pun intended there ) about a white lie more or less once he's going. Yes! there does seem to be a lack of conviction in TRAMs argument these days, surely it couldn't be Reality and Truth has finally got through to them? Mind you they haven't got an easy job, supporting the indefensible Thaksin, who makes so many blatant contradictions and lies,to his own public statements it's enough to do anyone's head in.
yoshiwara
"She is new." She has to call up Brother Number One to find out what to do. If this is so, how on earth can a country that takes itself seriously end up with her as Prime Minister? It's an embarrassment to all thinking Thais, and they certainly made a point of that at the rally last Sunday. Thaksin's interview has added more to the humiliation of the Thai people. And he has no idea of how outrageous his comments are. Something's gotta give. Actually the humiliation in the first instance is for Yingluck. He knows that the establishment is is prepared to live with Yingluck as the PM and the backing down from putting Jatuporn in the cabinet will have strengthened her position. So what better than to announce that she is under his direction, sorry advice, and publicly pull her down a notch.
bigbamboo
If she is 'new' (by which I assume he means a political ingenue) then why choose her to be PM in the first place? You wouldn't put a virgin in charge of a brothel.

Rich teacher
A recent poll showed that the most liked politician in Thailand by far was Yingluck Shinawatra, followed closely by her brother Thaksin. That is news hard to swallow for most TV posters, but the political reality of Thailand. And no they weren't paid 500 Baht to participate in the poll. Skywalker69
It can't be easy running a country from abroad. If it is that difficult, with his sister as PM, his cousin as FM, and his relatives in the police, perhaps it is time that he overcame his yellow belly cowardice issues and came back then. Maybe his sister will "overcome" him back to Thailand.
