Red Cross Hospital Sri Racha

My Thai wife needs to see a gynecologist. Has anyone's partner had any recent experience with the Red Cross government hospital Sri Racha. I think the official name is Queen Savang Vadhana Memorial Hospital - thanks...

EDIT: Alternatively a private hospital in the Pattaya area that has a gynecology unit, not Bangkok Pattaya Hospital

No idea of the quality of services in the GYN department, but my wife (orthopedics) and I (opthamology) have both used Pattaya International Hospital on Soi 4 and are very satisfied with the service, the professionalism, and the cost.

You are lucky, my family, my friends and me will never go there again, NEVER !

I would be interested in hearing of your experiences there, for future health care decision making.

If you aren't comfortable putting it out publicly for all to see, then send me a PM. Thanks.

Sorry to hear of your friend's experience & death.

The reason for my post is my wife, who is Thai. She today visited the Red Cross Hospital gynecology department as she has a growth. She was charged a total of 1,005 baht for the specialist examination and pap smear. Thank God no cancer immediately detected, but has to re-visit in two weeks for the pap smear results and follow up on the status of the cyst. All professional, but the down side was the five hour wait. As you know it's a step up from Banglamung Hospital and Thais have to pay for treatment. Private rooms cost 1,200 baht a night.
