Moo Bahn In And Around Pattaya

Currently living in a lovely resort in Jomtien but due to family changes we need to find a 3 bedroom house to live in, I see there doesn't seem to be much in the way of houses in this area so wondered if anyone can recommend some nice estates. We have been driving around looking and obviously a lot are awful looking places that have gone to seed, I have only found one estate that seemed to have the right factors that are important to me like good security and a nice park area, pool etc. Mostly I am looking at agency websites and trying to find the estates myself. On the recommendation of a friend we plan to rent for a year or two and if we like the estate then we will buy somewhere but there is no way I want to just buy straight away, I have lived here too long to go down that route. Not looking for a fancy house as it is a second home and I think the estate is more important to me than the house to be honest. So, any recommendations for the Pattaya Jomtien area would be appreciated, Thanks.

Yup, that's what I thought. Been looking today and oh my god, what a load of crap. It seems regardless of price most moobahns are not in a very good state. Shame.

Try Silk Road, far enough away but close to Jomtien beach etc. Am sure that will tick all your boxes?

Obviously depends on your budget of course, care to give us a clue what that is, may help ??

A bit out of town, but try the various Baan Balina estates. They are pretty good. One is near the Ambassador off Suk. Opposite the road to The View restaurant. The other two are off Huay Yai. Number 4 is in the planning stages. Also try Silk Road off Huay Yai. Very nice estate.

There are quite a few in East Pattaya, on the other side of the rail road tracks. Don't know them, but have driven by and they look quite nice.

What's your price range?

Silk road looks interesting, thanks for that, currently pay 25K for my place but realised pretty quickly that there isn't much nice going for that price. I don't really have a budget as such but as I am renting with a view to buy I don't want to waste money, then again I don't want to live in a pig sty, catch 22 I suppose. Saw a nice house today but the doors windows etc were so cheap I could have broken in with a plastic fork, shame as the house itself was OK but the moobahn had gone to seed a bit, looks like when it was new it had keycard access security etc with barriers across the road, all removed now with just the keypads left and no sign of any security.

Thanks for the recommnedations, found a lovely place today a bit more than I wanted to spend but it will definately be worth it, very safe and secure etc. Thanks again guys, a great help.
