Record A Trip With Garmin Nuvi 1250?

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I am about to purchase a Nuvi 1250 from Garmin and I had a question in mind that the girl in the shop could not answer.

Does anyone knows if there is a possibility to record/save your itinerary while driving to be able to access it later?

Let me give you an exemple; Lets say I decide to go to a destination and I am driving around to discover places, take small roads out of the itinerary proposed by the gps. Can I access on my computer when I come back home which roads I actually used and where I've been exactly?

Many thanks for your help!

You have to look in the Nuvi 1250 under tools - navigation if there is a option called Trip Log.

If there is it could be that it's the same as mine Nuvi 2575 where (after I take a trip) I connect my Garmin to my PC and via Basecamp (http://www.garmin.co...etrail/basecamp) can load a complete trip report from the GPS.

(See screenshots for an example).

Thank you very much about that MGCM, I did not think about that.

I will have a look if it is there and if not will upgrade to another one.

I have your same model. The problem is that it will stop recording your points after a certain distance I believe. I am not sure how it works, but i look at my trip log trails often and they disappear after a while.

Trip log trails is governed by the waypoints the memory can hold. See your Garmin technical details.

I see both (Nuvi 1250 and mine Nuvi 2575) can hold 1000 Waypoints only the 2575 can hold 100 Routes and the 1250 0 Routes.

My Nuvi also stops recording, see Picture #1 in Post #2 to see that I have more then 1 Active Log for the same day, but all added together showed the whole trip that day from my House in Buriram back to Pattaya.

But again this is how mine works, and YMMV
