acer PC OS win 7

I'm trying to add a couple of books to ibooks on an ipad, what from what I can learn I must use iTunes on my PC to accomplish this but I can't add books to iTunes as there's no book option under Library, I have Films, TV. Radio etc,

so is there some way of doing this

You have the iPad connected to the computer at the same time as you open iTunes, if so you can download straight onto the ipad .

Problem is I can't add books to iTunes, I don't have the book option in iTunes, and how would sync with iPad get the books into iBooks?

I dunno how iTunes behaves on a PC but did you look through the settings/preferences?

Or, synchronize the iPad once and then the books might show up in iTunes.

Or, email the book file to yourself, open email on iPad, choose to open attachment in iBooks.

I have also had books that I have in a kindle file that would not open in my kindle reader for mac. I just dropped them in dropbox and opened them from there in the kindle reader and it seems to work as a go around. I guess they want you to actually buy them not get them for free to use the kindle reader app but there are go arounds.

I downloaded a torrent of hundreds of EPub format books, connected my iPad to iTunes and dragged them in to the books list page direct from my pc, now they are all in my iBooks library.

You have to connect your iPad first.

Excellent, first class, I've just emailed the book and opened it.

Much appreciated.

Not sure why itunes would not have a books section? Do you have the latest version installed?

I would try to just take the books in windows explorer and dropping them on the itunes window, in that top left section where there is music, video, and so on. Maybe it will make a books section for you. Would like to know if that works. You never know with itunes, it has lots of arcane features...

Emailing is easier... it shouldnt be this way but it is...
