chris5346 Posted November 14, 2012 Share Posted November 14, 2012 for most people who use atm's in thailand with their overseas cards each time you withdraw money you have to pay 150 baht to the thai bank, to avoid this charge go inside the bank with your passport and ask for a cash advance, not all branches have the facility. i have always found the rate i receive ties in with the TT rates on this site , but that maybe a coincidence and the rate maybe set by visa or master card etc. http://bankexchangerates.daytodaydata.net/default.aspx cheapest way to transfer money is to get a zero fee credit card and pay the balance off as soon as you withdraw the money.
