Does anyone have experience of cover notes being issued for short term insurance on motor vehicles in Thailand.

A cover note will generally cover a newly purchased vehicle for a few days, until a policy has been confirmed and paid for.

Yes, 'cover notes' can be issued for >30 days if requested

Issued by whom? I take delivery of my new Jazz sometime in January. I refused the Honda Insurance as being too expensive. I live in Pattaya. Just my luck to have a crash en route to an insurer from the showroom.

Ask your Broker and he will supply a cover note before you pick up your new car.
