Jai Dee Posted February 10, 2006 Share Posted February 10, 2006 Teens can’t get enough of online porn More than 60 per cent of teenagers have watched and downloaded pornographic photos off the Internet behind their parents’ backs, a research paper has revealed. The research, “Children: Sex Online”, carried out by the Thai Health Promotion Foundation and an Abac poll, studied the behaviour of 1,464 Internet users aged between 15 and 24 and found the youngest user was only five years old. Thai Health deputy manager Krissada Ruangareerat said most people started using the Internet when they were 13 to 15, and go online between 8pm and midnight, which was not regarded as the best time for students. When asked, 44.8 per cent of parents said they did not know what their children did when they were online, Krissada said. Moreover, the research found 16 per cent of the teen respondents drank and smoked while watching pornographic pictures online, another 16 per cent masturbated and 5 per cent had sex. “Almost 55 per cent said they could accept that the Internet provided pornographic media,” Krissada said. Among the 85 per cent who said they had used the Net to chat with strangers, 28 per cent talked about sex and 2 per cent dated the strangers. Krissada said almost 16 per cent of the respondents said they had experience using the Internet for love matching. Sira Satji-janon, 19, of the Thai Webmasters Association, said he had found one girl who had sex chats with a person who eventually persuaded her to install a webcam to see her naked. “Then the girl started earning money by showing her naked body over the webcam and finally became a sex worker,” he said. Greer Posted February 10, 2006 Share Posted February 10, 2006 (edited) If the "Anna" VCD has circulated to some Old and Conservative people, I would think they would simply ignore it as one would anything for which one has no interest... if you don't want to look at it, then dont. (Tuky, Anna is/was a Thai "movie star" who made a porn movie and it is being widely circulated - I am not sure if it was actually only for home use or what, but she has a great figure and is genuinely beautiful). As for porn on the internet being accessed by teenagers - it's really just the modern version of getting National Geographic for the "African photos"... I must admit that I am not keen on my kids seeing things they shouldn't on-line, so I will soon be installing some software to help control that aspect - for now though, they are well behaved and just look for www . barbie . com and sites like that. Have seen a LOT of banned sites recently, many of them for no good reason. I mean Angelfire and others, that provide hosting to thousends of webpages...did they found one nud_e-picture on one of them and decided to close down access to all?
