WilliamCave
I herad a few other stories simmilar to my story how i stayed in LOS. I wounder how many are the same. I cam to LOS from Canada on a vacation to south East Asia for 8 weeks. No intenstion of living here. No thought of getting married to an asian. No thought of having kids here No thought of having a home here wasnt coming here looking for the love of my life was not lonely had a good job with every intension of going back to my job. Now 9 years later have been married kids houses all in the land LOS I meet my to be wife in a restaurant were i was having dinner with thai friends in Bang Sue and she could not speak english and i could not speak thai, she owned her own company made good money had a house and a condo and she told me later after we were together for some time she never thought she would be with a farang, marry, kids, i was the first farang she ever meet. and the rest is history , i have meet others with the same story , is your story simmular?
ARISTIDE
Similar to Andrew Biggs the Australian journalist? But I don't know if he managed to meet the right girl. Edited November 16, 2012 by ARISTIDE
farang000999
It seems like these days all Thai Visa is guys telling each other that their wife is not a bar girl and/or accusing others of having a bar girl wife. So you came to Thailand and met a normal girl and got married. Very interesting and inspiring!

LongTimeLurker
My story is similar. I'd passed through Thailand as a tourist a few times on my way to other places and didn't like it here. Was passing through again on my way to Singapore and started work 2 days after landing. That was 18 years ago and I'm still here.

Very interesting and inspiring! Some of us did marry good Thai girls, of whom there are many if you look in the Right Places, Personally I had been living here for a few yrs before I met my future wife, learned the score, tried to learn from the mistakes made by others,it's all about using your experiences and common sense. Having said that I would like to add that a friend of mine did marry a B/G (she's more than 20yrs younger than him)about 6 yrs ago,and she is one of the exceptions, very loyal and trustworthy,he has never had much money, but that has never bothered her, I suppose he was just lucky.
