Hi guys, just wondering if i got enuff money to last a year stay in thailand without working wat kinda of a visa should i be looking at. I was kinda of confused with the different Non Imm types of visa available.

60 day tourist visa I quite imagine! (multiple visa runs)

If you mentioned how much money you have it would be easier to assess.

I would say an absolute minimum for a single person not planning to buy anything in particular and carefully choosing where to eat and sleep, is something like 15,000 baht per month.

But it would not be much of a life. For a decent life, calculate at least 25,000 per month.

Get a Non Imm B visa!

Send a letter saying your going to visit friends so need a Non Imm B Visa

Or send a letter saying your going to view future business prospects in Thailand and they shall grant you the Non Imm B. I have recently just done that with no problems.

Just call the embassy up and they shall tell you what they want.

The Non Imm B will give you 90 days when you arrive then you shall have to do visa runs every 90 days till your visa expires.

You appear to be over-qualified to get work as an English teacher, should your funds fall short. I would therefore suggest trying for a multiple entry Non-Immigrant 'O' or, failing that, a multiple entry Tourist visa.

Youu just need the docs I statet in my posts, no bank statments. Well thats for a UK citerzen
