Emergency: Rhesus Negative A Blood Required.

Featured Replies

EMERGENCY ANNOUNCEMENT: RHESUS NEGATIVE A blood required.

Bad bike accident here in Chiang Mai two weeks ago, Rhesus Negative A type blood before they can operate.

Please contact Taow on 0895543757 or pm me.

This blood type is only common to about 1% of westerners and much less common in Asians.

Yeah, I was wondering the same.

I believe it is the same individual who needs the A- blood.

It's Jeff from the CU Corner bar who had a bad motorcycle accident a couple of weeks ago.

He's in Maharaj, main building 4th floor.

I have A-, but my age, meds I take, and medical history (hep A 40 yrs ago) rule me out for blood donation.

Perhaps eek and Cherryble can sort this out by contacting one another, and TV can consolidate this into one thread.

Yes, happy to threads consolidated. Whatever is prefered. However, this thread been used as links in facebook, so hoping there will be no issue with redirecting via facebook.

I'll just leave both running for the time being, as it is an emergency appeal, pending confirmation from cherryble that it is the same individual.

The good news is I went to see Jeff this afternoon and he hopes to be operated for the shattered hip Tuesday. Foot is doing OK.

I was offered blood by three people which I thought was wonderful, to be told by Jeff that they had had four donations and one in the bank already which was enough for the op and some for emergency.

Thanks to all these kind folk

ps will copy in both threads......and be careful out there on the roads it's madness beyond belief.

If you're a motorcyclist be ready for someone to pull out of ANY AND EVERY side road or driveway.......from the left especially.

Practise emergency stops.......it seems to me the majority of motorbike accidents are from heavyhanded use of the front brake. You must practise again and again to get the foot brake automatically in synch with the front, and feel the rear end just starting to break so you know your limits. Naturally be careful practising and unless you are very confident just go gently with it.
