January 8, 201313 yr Seeing the humorous side of it help me from tipping over the ledge. Although I am not sure how much longer I can put up with it!
January 9, 201313 yr If you have 2 cars, both go out and if you're a good driver let her follow you on various roads, she'll get used to it, gotta start somewhere. Guess most Thai women, married to foreigners, are doing that already. I mean to look where the farlang went to. My wife made her "drivers' school, passed her test, when I had to go to Europe for some surgeries. She only had one little crash. Glad that nobody else was involved. No she's only driving, if there's no other way. . ........ Edited January 9, 201313 yr by sirchai
January 10, 201313 yr My TGF took 20 hours of behind the wheel driving. She got her license after that. Today we rented a car and for the first time I witnessed her driving. Overall I'd give her an A+ report card. I only gave her some pointers on how she may want to drive a bit differently in the future but again, she did an excellent job. No aggression and a lot of caution which I appreciate. She drove as a reflection of her personality: gentle and thoughtful.

I'm hoping and trusting her driving style will remain as it is now. I have no criticism of her driving and I've told her I'll only give information for her to think about such as always looking one last time before turning right. I explained she needs to check her mirrors for sure and then look to the side to make sure a motorbike doesn't decide to pass her in the middle of a turn. If she ever does have an accident, I'll do my best to just take it in stride. I'll be confident it wasn't' because she was trying to show off or intentionally do something foolish. That's about the best I can hope for.
