Are a special case? Unless you are on the ten most wanted list I seriously doubt a government organization anywhere is going to spend there time taking care of what you should know and be able to prove yourself.

Now, trying to help, you do fly here so there will be airline records/travel company records/credit card receipts/checks/hotel receipts/exchange receipts/etc.? That, along with passport loss paperwork and a signed statement from you would probably go a long way.

I have no basis for this, just a separate opinion.

IF The Thai immigration offices can call up entry/departure info if she has his passport nuber they may be willing to print it out for a fee.

I have never dealt with Bangkok, but the Pattaya office (now in Jomtien) has always been very helpful and friendly. Many 90 day reporters are on first name basis with some of the folks.

She could try on her own, but if he has a farang friend that could go with her it might help. Most officials know farangs are not as easy to take a quick brush off and continue to bother them till they get what they want, unless it is really isn't possible.

Chris,

The officer may be suspicious of you not knowing how many times you went to Thailand.

If you do not remember how many times you have visited Thailand, one may think that you were daft or experiencing memory problems due to a health condition caused by either concha or some other mind altering substance.. :o

Your best bet is to go to your records (Credit card receipts & airline records) to find the answer.

:D

I think the problem is just that he doesn't have proof of how many times he has been rather thanhe forgot!

Chris ure airline tickets will be enough, or failing that your receipts from travel agents. They normally give you an itinery when you book and surely you have some of those lying around? Failing that you could always ask the travel agent for proof - certainly whenever I go the flight centre etc they seem to have a full list of all previous flights I have booked through them. Give it a try if the immigration in LOS can't help - might be easier since you can deal with them yourself.

I had the same problem years ago when my ex was applying for a visit visa. I'd used the same travel agents three times for my flights over here and they kept records going back for 6 years - this was for tax reasons.

Hopefully, for you, the situation won't have changed.

Would appreciate you letting us know what the outcome is - my passport goes back about 5 years (a lot more than I can prove our relationship - so I am anyway just concentrating on what I can prove by other methods and in more recent times, so it is not actually a requirement for me. Especially as back then it was somewhat of a different relationship - ).......but on the basis that every little helps if this something which is easily doable I may well consider it.

For other folk who have posted.........I do NOT know either how many trips I have made to Thailand or even how long I have spent in Thailand - within 3 months either way (probably could work it out from gaps in my CV :o ). In my case it was mainly beer related! and also I find that counting years and trips away is difficult when I "lose" seasons. It's probably just me :D

Life easy? No way. But as you say you probably could come up with a list using unofficial resources such as bank statements, travel agency records and the like. They (immigration) are not looking for court room evidence - just some kind of records or statements to support the marriage being real. Am sure you could even submit hotel records as part of the package.

Am sure you could even submit hotel records as part of the package.

I have been staying at the same Hotel when in Bangkok for the last 10 years - I was surprised a few years back that they had my records going back to my first visit on computer - especially as it was a smallish place on Sukhumvit Soi 11/1 and not a major chain (no, not a S/T Hotel :o ).........so this is something which may not be as hard to obtain as may be expected. Perhaps worth just asking the question if it was felt to be needed (on the "every little helps" basis).
