Rain?

Featured Replies

Went shopping in Pattaya yesterday, rain. :o

This morning in Chonburi, rain again. :D

I heard on the radio that unfortunately, floods are expected down South . They also mentioned that Bangkok, surroundings and eastern seabord can expect very strong winds.

Isn't rain quite unusual this time of year? I seem to remember not a drop for the last 3 or 4 years until at least May...

Only drizzle at the moment (07.38), however our neighbour who knows everything said much more could be expected. I have only lived here for three years and I don't recall rain this early. Still, saves getting the hosepipe out :o

Rare yes, but maybe will help out with the drought in some areas up north. BKK Hist Avg shows a 1.1 inch average for Feb. in the last 108 years, but a max of 7.6 inches (19 cm).

this has been a very unusual year for raining in the south, should have stopped in late december but still pouring.

Been chucking it down the night before last and a good steady drizzle today......great managed to get a crop of forage Sorgham in for the cow yesterday, as long as theres enough moisture in the soil for it to start it should grow ok.

For those of us that find the rain thread very boring is it relly neccesary to start a second one here? The original and famous one is still going strong on the Farang Pub- and expat life forum.
