Civil Partnership Vietnam

Featured Replies

Hi

I am British and my partner is Thai, we are now in ''Ho Chin Minh City'' to do our civil partnership.

We have a date, set, and have done all the regestration of documents etc etc.

our two witnesses that we had planned , have went back to the UK for xmas..

so we are now stuck and looking for 2 witnesses, we still have 10 days to find 2 people.. ??

but anyone any suggestions, or know any people in the City..

The whole registration process was simple enough... which is re-assuring..

Cheers

Robert

Have you asked the Consulate if they will provide the witnesses? I think you have to pay something... but it's not unusual for the people in this situation not to know anybody in HCM.

Its actually a High Commission, but you are correct IB - they will provide witnesses and they usually ask if you want them provided (as well as a photographer, etc). It could hardly be simpler.

I actually did ask the Embassy here but they said ''NO'' , we had to supply our own witnesses ..

but no problem, the Hotel we were staying in, i kindly asked them and they supplied two witnesses..
