Just a small point regarding the ESOL qualification, One now has to be in receipt of the certificate a covering letter from the college is no longer accepted, a must if the qualification period is nearing its end and awaiting certification from the governing body. I know someone who was recently refused ILR on this point alone.

yes we have the actual city and guilds ESOL certificate the letter from the college states that the course contained citizen ship materials is an acredited college along with reasons why and the college acredition number and the level she was assesed at and level she advanced to all exactly as stated in application notes for ESOL requirements

@bigdave 1960

It doesn't seem a problem having just your name on the Rental Contract,it's more to do with you both having a place to live,which was a condition of your her Settlement Visa.

Possibility of asking for further Documents,is probably covering obscure eventualities,in unusual applications.....Relax,sounds like you have done the business.

Basically all you have to do is up date the file you submitted for her settlement Visa, put in her ESOl certificate and accrediting letter from the collage in all the originals.

Not quite, Thongkorn.

They also need to provide at least 6 documents as per the SET(M) form to show that they have been living together for the last two years.

Bigdave, if you check the form you will see that you are providing a lot more than is actually required.

well I guess it did the trick anyway as wife was granted ILR at Liverpool yesterday afternoon , long wait at the liverpool peo but got there in the end , so glad thats all over , many thanks to everyone who has offered advice and input over the last few years from the initial spouse visa to ILR your help was very much appreciated by the way the only information they didnt bother with was our birth certificates based on them not keeping the photocopies of those but kept everything else
