Thai Inter - Online Check-In - Which Code?

Featured Replies

I am trying to check-in for a Thai Inter flight tomorrow as permitted within 24 hours of travel. I have Electronic tickets.

The website check-in window asks for the Reservation Code prefixed either 1A/ or TG/ (note the forward slash).

No matter what code or alpha numeric number I enter from my ticket it is rejected. The same if I try to check the status of my reservation. Ringing TG telephone numbers results in no response or gibberish.

Can anyone confirm which of the codes or numbers on the E-Ticket is supposed to be entered?

You should have a six digit alpha numeric code on your e-ticket .It is sometimes referred to as " Amadaus"

I did an online check in this morning for my brother with Etihad and had to enter the code in upper case. So try that as well

Thanks, I tried that. The Amadeus (Booking Reference) is a six digit numeric/alpha and is in uppercase. It, and any other obvious 'number' is rejected as 'invald format'. Tried the Check your Reservation too that requires two inputs one a code and the other last name name. Same; rejected

I just got through to Thai Inter ticketing after an uneccessarily complicated pre-amble and the agent says my reservations are good and told me my Booking Code which, surprise, surprise, is identical to the one that I have and used on their website without success so, I have to assume that the 'system' is designed to promote long queues at check-in desks!

As long as Thai Inter is under government control and management and lives on it's past glory instead of trying to compete with the other carriers they will remain low on the ratings list.

Why, then, am I flying with them? Because my Thai wife thinks they are still Number 1!

Oh well as least you`ve sorted it.

Have a good trip

I fly Thai monthly and always use online check in. In the last 5 years I can only remember 1 occasion where I could not use it and this was because I had only just bought the ticket. One of the most common errors is entering a zero instead of letter O or visa versa.

By the way check out the ratings list http://www.worldairlineawards.com/

I reckon in top 10 ain't too bad.

You need the Thai airways ref, on my e ticket it is below the flight details for each flight.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

How I wish Thai will do something to make their website more user-friendly. It simply does not work for me, no matter which browser I use. There has to be a better way.
