Arriving On A Tourist Or 30 Day Transit Visa With No Foreign Fixed Abode?

Arriving on a tourist or 30 day transit visa with no foreign fixed abode?

A UK national, I have been living in Thailand on a tourist visa for many years working overseas elsewhere month on month off. I could be in a situation soon where I will have no permanent home UK contact address. I have lived in Thailand whenever I am not working.

My question is could this pose a problem if I have no permanent address outside of Thailand when I show up as a tourist? The immigration entry card asks for a home address - overseas, but I have always thought of Thailand as home though usually fill in something elsewhere.

That home address could be useful to Immigration as a contact in case of an emergency. Remember the tsunami?

In the situation you describe, I would put down the address of a close relative.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

Sounds like a plan :o I always put my parents address in the UK.
