Hi there,

I'm trying to explain the concept of "No Such Thing" to my GF and was wondering if someone could give me the Thai equivalent.

Cheers.

No thing - no such thing, I would say that 'such is an adjective saying; of the type referred to. So maybe it would depend on what was referred to.

A material thing; unicorn, สัตว์ชนินนั้น, an abstract thing; 'altruism', หลักการแบบนั้น (?) . I should think that you just need to put ไม่มี in front of it.

I have found that farang humour doesnt translate to Thai and vice versa,

try something like this,

ตอนเช้าไม่เคยดี the mornings are never good, or

ไม่เคยมีตอนเช้าดี there is never a good morning.

We have to think like Thais, subject/classifier, if you dont mention what you are talking about it goes over their head.

Wait for the experts to chime in.
