Marijuana worth millions of baht found floating out at sea in Satun province

Satun Marine Police have found marijuana worth millions of baht floating out at sea.

Satun Marine Police and Navy officials found 4 kilograms of marijuana sticks floating in the water near Butang (บูตัง) Island 50 nautical miles off the coast of Satun Province, and a sunken Thai vessel named "Mae Kung" (แม่กุ้ง) nearby.

Officials believed the marijuana found were of the same batch. Thai and Malaysian police will collaborate to arrest the responsible multinational drugs trading group.

Growing up on a Florida beach town, there were from time to time, reports of bales of Marijuana found adrift or beached. "Sand Groupers"I believe was the terminology used by the media to discribe the bits of flotsam, because of their profitability.

West coast of FL was a major smuggling area for years, now with the NAFTA treaty they just drive it across the border from Mexico.

This certainly accounts for why the Gulf of Thailand is to be closed to

fishing boats. All the fish are HIIIIIGGGHHH. :o
