Democrat riled over posting of Abhisit photo

BANGKOK: -- The Democrat Party yesterday demanded that legal action be taken against a Department of Special Investigation official for taking a photograph of former prime minister Abhisit Vejjajiva getting his fingerprints taken and posting it on the Internet.

However, DSI chief Tarit Pengdith argued yesterday that it was not yet clear if the photograph of Abhisit's fingerprints being taken was indeed taken and posted on the Net by Pol Lt-Colonel Theeraphol Pinmuangngarm.

Tarit said the issue still needed to be looked into and he could not say when that would be done. He added that Abhisit's aides were also present at the time and had also used their cellphones to take photographs.

Democrat spokesman Chavanond Intarakomalyasut, however, insisted that it was clear the picture had been taken from where Theeraphol was sitting while Abhisit was being officially charged by the DSI on Thursday.

Chavanond said Theeraphol had denied taking the photograph and posting it on the Net, though he was convinced that the photograph had been e-mailed to former premier Thaksin Shinawatra in exchange for a reward.

they parade suspects around all the time, why should Abhisit be any different.

Hopefully, they used the classic pose with 2 or 3 people pointing at him. I love that.

They are fingerprinting former PM Abhisit. preposterous. While we wait for some news and indictments of a real known hit and run cop killer like the driver of the Ferrari. This hit and run cop killing where the dead or still alive cop was dragged through the streets of Bangkok for 2-3 kilometers while attached to the Ferrari is still being silenced and squashed while they fingerprint and charge PM Abhisit. Who is to take this Thailand law and order process seriously?

inmates run the asylum, children in charge of the sandbox

At least 50% of all PM's and presidents, former PM's and presidents worldwide should stand trial according to this idiocy

So...until he is convicted (Red Pull Ferrari Cop Killer, I mean!) all other investigations have to be put on hold?

That means...like...forever???

It is SOP to fingerprint those that are charged in a murder case.

According to Mr. Abhisit's cheering squad in TVF, the charges will soon be vacated.

It is not as if the chap has not been fingerprinted before. If Mr. Abhisit has served in the military, he would have had his fingerprints taken at the time,

It is not as if the dear fellow was stripped searched, and tossed in a cell like most people that face such charges,

So no doubt Tarit has demanded that this officer reveal how he knows it was e-mailed to the paymaster for a reward.

The issue is Abhisit getting he's finger prints taken, it beggars belief that he's getting them done anyway, this crowd of mavericks that are running the show ,sure have a strange grasp of whats right and whats wrong, nothing is going to come of this show trial, other players will see to that.coffee1.gif

Are they also going to dust all army generals balls for a match? rolleyes.gif

They'd have to find them first.

Right all 100,000 more or less of them.

Just look under their hats. They aren't called top brass for nothing.

Because those humiliating parades aren't paid for by a fugitive convicted criminal for the sole purpose of giving him his jollies. Interesting to see the DSI kowtowing to a criminal, red democracy at work.

I think it is highly likely more than 50% should stand trial for corruption and possibly treason. 50% seems very low.
