Suspected cocaine dealer extradited to Wales after Thailand arrest

A suspected cocaine dealer was extradited back to the UK today after he was arrested in Thailand.

Terrence Johnson was flown back to London's Heathrow Airport this morning following his arrest in the Far East.

He had been wanted on suspicion of conspiracy to supply the class A drug and was arrested by Thai police in September while he was living in the Asian country.

Following the extradition process he was brought back to Britain and hauled before magistrates in Cardiff, who remanded him in custody.

Passengers on board the British Airways flight saw the 65-year-old escorted from the plane after it landed in London at 5.54am by four officers from the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA).

Johnson, who was originally from Dorset but is currently of no fixed abode was ordered to appear before a Crown Court judge in Cardiff on December 27.

I am sorry to see he did not get an extended stay in the Bkk Hilton surrounded by Mars Bar creek with rat turds on his pillow at night instead of mints. They will be much too easy on him in the UK in my opinion.

HANG HIM I SAY, HANG HIM HIGH!!

The headline was 'Suspected cocaine dealer . . . ' and the article said, 'He had been wanted on suspicion of conspiracy to supply the class A drug and was arrested by Thai police in September.' Did you see or do you know something I did not see? If he is 'suspected" of a crime and was wanted on 'suspicion' aren't you a bit early to form the lynch mob?

And here I thought the British pensioner brigade was just whinging...but resorting to drug dealing...I guess they really are broke and desperate.

Oh! really, the amount they get in extra Top ups to their Pensions, would be an eye opener for you!

But that's for those resident in the UK.

I think he's taking the piss.

Still, if this forum is anything to go by (it isn't), all the drug dealers in Thailand are Africans and hang around beer stalls around lower Sukhumvit.

Dang, is TV just loaded with druggies? Any time the topic comes up, it seems eventually there are way too many defending it.

Where do wine merchants fit in? In the law abiding group, that's where. Drop the moral equivalency, embrace the practical side of it, and get it that one will land you in prison, eh?

But Goldenbrown wasn't talking about the dangers of illegality he was damning the drug dealers' very souls for how they choose to make a living.........so please complain to him rather than me!

My mother owns her own flat/apartment and my mother in law is in local authority rented accomodation and both say they are better off now than they've ever been.

I think you'll find that British pensioners in EU and some other countries still get yearly increases to their pension but of course we in places like Thailand don't. I think it's due to change but until recently at least pensioners in places like Spain and Portugal still got the annual winter fuel payment to help with their heating bills.

As for this pensioner, if he's found guilty then it's a shame when someone in later years ends up in prison when they should be enjoying themselves. But if he is guilty what else can he expect. Of course if he has no family or friends it may well not be so bad, as is the case with younger prisoners.

Majic, why is there no Ulster flag in your avatar? You've got England Scotland and Wales. Just curious.
