Thanks for that thumbsup.gif

I was just about to book a seat with Air Asia - but I'll now wait a day and see if I can beat the scramble tomorrow.

Wow

How is the Thai Embassy in Ho Chi Minh City,?? could be a cheap Visa run for some.

I just tried a booking for dates in Feb. Got a return price of around 3000B. Current fares are only 220,000 VND...a bit over 300B. It's the taxes, etc, that up the fare.

Sorry Do Not understand ? clearly state in the OP info ................Booking from 2100 until 2359, 20 December.........

unless I have got mixed up today is 19th ??

Edit: Opps you are the OP ? so even more confused why you tried now

Yet do not expect to get it for only 99B, the taxes and fuel surcharges will make this well over 1000 baht.

It means that if the current fares are a a bit over 300B and the total price is around 3000B, at 99B it will be still around 3000B with the taxes etc. :)

Yes, that's what I was trying to point out...unsuccessfully! Sorry!!!!

As I see it, the sale will shave around 220B off the price. Hardly a sale.

Of course not-about anyone needs a visa to enter VNam- will go up by 1/1/13. Current price at BKK-emb-with 5 days wait=slowest, cheapest, 1800 THB=60 US$. I did a Vnam visit late nov- return on AirAsia was also just over 3000 (only hand luggage). VietJet was once a prey for AAasia-but they withdrew as they found could not get along with Vnam burocrazyness.

Not the cheapest Visa run once visa costs, flights and hotels are put in. I have not had problems with the embassy however I know people who have had hurdles or been rejected for visas. I'd only go to HCMC if I actually wanted to hang out in the place (which I enjoy btw) but not for a cheap visa run.
