Tourists Are Invited to the Ayutthaya by the River Fair

The Center of Tourism, Sports and Recreation of Ayutthaya (อยุธยา) Province is holding the “Ayutthaya by the River” fair. This is the new tourism route for people to sail along the river and experience the beauty of Ayutthaya Province, which is only 86 kilometers north of Bangkok.

The Director-General of the Center of Tourism, Sports and Recreation of Ayutthaya, Mr. Pichai Piumtongkam (พิชัย เปี่ยมทองคำ), said the “Ayuthaya by the River” has been initiated because the province has a policy to develop a successful marine tourism. This is a strategy to promote tourism in the four provinces of Nonthaburi, Pathumthani, Ang Thong, and Ayutthaya.

Aside from the beautiful natural surroundings and ancient sites, Ayutthaya offers tourists the chance to travel along the Chao Phraya River by boats. Tourists will be able to see the beautiful temples located along the shoreline as well as the locals’ traditional way of life. Both Thai and foreign tourists alike would be able to see another beautiful side of Ayutthaya Province. Moreover, travelers will be able to sail here throughout the year.

If you are interested in this tourism opportunity in Ayutthaya, whether on land or water, please call the Center of Tourism, Sports and Recreation of Ayutthaya Province at 0-3524-5417 or log on to www.tat.or.th./central6. And don’t forget, you can also call our hotline number at 1672.

Summer and drought are round the corner, hope that certain part of the river never go dry. Would love to bring all family for a slow ride.
