Sure is but does a great job chewing up the old road and recycling the result which is what you see in the foreground.It is then compacted in the normal manner for roadworks and then resealed.Believe me that section of road needed the work.You have travelled over that section between our place and Thasak.

Here is one big Mama of a bike... taken on Samui the other day... obviously from BKK, as it has License plate for Malaysia, so it's been around!

Must have all the mod cons, even an antenna!

It's called a cold planer, milling machine or asphalt profiler and reclaimer.
