THAI offers "A380 Special" promotional fares

The Nation

BANGKOK: -- Thai Airways International is offering promotional fares to welcome the New Year 2013 with travel on its Airbus A380-800, THAI's newest and largest aircraft, to three popular destinations.

It quotes a round-trip fare of Bt8,935 to Hong Kong, Bt18,450 to Narita and Bt39,810 to Frankfurt. The prices are applicable for booking in January, for travel during January and March.

"THAI is pleased to offer "A380 Special" promotional fares for passenger comfort and to celebrate the new year, so that passengers may join in welcoming THAI's three new Airbus A380-800 aircraft that have entered the fleet," said Danuj Bunnag, THAI Executive Vice President.

There will be a limited number of special fare tickets available per flight, and the cost of tickets include taxes and surcharges.

If these are the "special fare tickets" I would hate to see the regular priced tickets.

Also please remember to at tax and the mystery service charge and fuel surcharge to get your real price

No you don't.

If those prices were to be typical of Thai International, once their A380 starts flying to the UK, then I would consider starting using them again.

Sadly, I doubt that they will really cut their going-rate by almost 50%, better (well, pricewise anyway) to stick to Jet Airways or their ilk.

But thanks to the OP for the heads-up ! thumbsup.gif
