BANGKOK: -- Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva said he would file a complaint with the Administrative Court and the National Anti-Corruption Commission for a second time, saying an order by Defence Minister Sukampol Suwannathat was unlawful and Sukampol had abused his power.

He said Sukampol was confused while revealing whether Abhisit had been stripped of his military rank or not. He contradicted himself in different days. However, the Administrative Court had already accepted the complaint he had filed against Sukampol earlier. Therefore, the minister's claim that the court had no mandate was invalid.

Ministry spokesman Colonel Tanatip Sawangsaeng said yesterday that Sukampol respected the Administrative Court's mandate but would insist that the stripping of military rank of the Democrat Party leader was under the jurisdiction of the military court.

The ministry on Wednesday released the order that revoked Abhisit's commission into the Army in 1987 and his promotion to sub-lieutenant in 1988.

Sounds like the military and the PTP are not as close as they would have us believe.

Abhisit and the gang need to get on top of these types of Harassment charges, an old ploy, Thaskin used to demoralize the opposition in 2008, the art of undermining the opposition is to try to make them ineffectual, like leaches they slowly sap ya dry, till all opposition is irrelevant, all calculated, all planned.bah.gif

Were they ever? The "military" did, does and has it's own agenda.

Sukampol has no respect for any court - only his own kangaroo committee. It wasn't a military court (court marshal?) but a MoD committee set up by the minister with a predictable outcome.

Same day, the 4th that is

"The Defence Ministry has revoked the unlawful records of Abhisit Vejjajiva," Sukampol said, arguing that his ministerial order was outside the purview of the Administrative Court. Abhisit has filed a complaint with the court against the move."

"Defence Minister Sukampol Suwannathat said yesterday he had officially endorsed the decision by a ministry committee to strip opposition and Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva of the rank and salary given to him when he worked as military lecturer."
